On a scale from 1 to 10, i fail.

an update about the writing contest i entered.

so far I’ve got a plotless story with characters i don’t know much about. yup, it couldn’t get much better.

the workbook the website gives is helpful but i need a lot more help. hmm, guess I’ll just go ask Alice.

Story Ideas

Till Dawn Due Us Part- a vampire story, obviously. Haven’t really thought of the plot line yet, I just liked the name

Story one- about mermaids, no title has come to me. It would sound weird if I tried to sum it up here.

The conductor- a train conductor comes across a man on the tracks, the man’s eyes are closed, exhales a large breath, and opens his eyes to meet the frantic eyes of the conductor. The conductor honks the horn with urgency and tries to stop the train but its too late, the cant stop it in time because the man standing on the tracks is to close. The train hits the man with what seems like a deathenly loud thud to the conductor. The story is about how the conductor copes with seeing a man dying in front of him, making contact with the man’s eyes in the final moment of his life, and indirectly being the cause of his death. The book would play with human nature and the conductor’s ability to move on.

Chapter one would be the suicidal man’s POV and when they make eye contact it would switch to the conductors POV (my odd fixation with what eyes communicate), when it switches that would be chapter two until the end of the story
